The objectives of the Foundation are clearly defined and their attainment is controlled by the Foundation Board and by the Swiss Federal Agency for the Supervision of Foundations.

The objectives of our foundation are:

  • Supporting young researchers in hepatology.
  • Financing of instruments and maintenance and support of institutional equipment dedicated to research in hepatology.
  • Support of research projects, examining causes and treatments of liver diseases, which are neither funded by the pharmaceutical industry nor by the Swiss National Science Foundation, nor the European Union.
  • Innovative training and continuous professional development for doctors working in the field of hepatology.
 

Board of Trustees

The board of trustees is made up of patient representatives, political representatives and faculty members of the University of Bern. The board of trustees is liable that donations are used for their specified purposes.
